A coronal post-contrast MRI of the hand in the same patient demonstrates swelling and inflammation of the synovial joint, synovitis, (red arrows) in the second metacarpophalangeal joint with an enhancing bone erosion in the second metacarpal head (blue long arrow), an abnormality not visible on the x-ray. synovial proliferation (red arrows). Note that no bone erosions are visible about the hand.	Sagittal T2-weighted image of the knee with fat suppression in the same patient demonstrates a large joint effusion where fluid has escaped with mild synovial proliferation (red arrows). Note that no bone erosions are visible about the knee.
