Dillon's family came in for an appointment citing some concerns. Physical exam noted that Dillon had swelling in both his knees, right ankle, both elbows and his right hand appeared puffy. Labs were ordered and drawn along with an X-ray. Dillon’s x-rays showed no sign of fracture or erosions. Labs indicated inflammation in his body and the presence of autoimmune antibodies. After reviewing this information with the parents, a referral was recommended to a pediatric rheumatologist for further workup and diagnosis. Dillon is scheduled for a visit with a pediatric rheumatologist within the next 1 to 2 weeks.
