Cross section of the patient's skin tag (acrochordon) was analyzed under the microscope for cancerous cells. The acrochordon appears normal and is benign. Sebaceous glands (upside down coral) are visible at the bottom left of the slide, indicating that the skin tag was taken from the armpit of the patient.	Example of an acrochordon that is positive for melanoma. Melanoma is indicated by the purple cells and the lack of healthy, pink tissue. Melanocytes that produce the brown pigment melanin are visible on the slide.
