Sustain (What’s Next)
The fifth step, Sustain, is a necessary reflective step to think about What’s Next. Teams can reflect on what is going well and what lessons have been learned about this process to make it even better. It is also a time to connect with PLTW and other schools to share successes or learn from other teams.
Use the following prompts to guide your thinking about the successes and challenges of your team’s work and what you may want to do differently as your work continues.
- Reflect and Redesign. It is always important to reflect on the
project. You can use the Reflective Protocol in the Resources for this step to walk
your team through a reflective process. Use the questions below to guide your
thinking on the next iteration of your project.
- Ask the team, What went well? What didn’t go well? What are areas of strength and weakness?
- For the next iteration of the project, do you need to make any changes to how the project is currently being implemented?
- What will you continue? What is next for the team?
